Samsung is preparing to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold7, Flip7, and new Galaxy Watch on July 9, 2025, at the Unpacked event. These upcoming foldables will most probably launch with Android 16-based One UI 8, as per the previous leaks.

Samsung has also released the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25 series, but older devices like the Galaxy S21 FE will not get the beta program, and the users are eagerly waiting to experience the One UI 8.

Recently, Geekbench’s listing shows that the One UI 8 internal testing for the Galaxy S21 FE (SM-G990B2) is going on, so it is possible that the Galaxy S21 FE may also get the One UI 8 update following the stable release for the latest flagships. The Geekbench scores are in the screenshots below.

Moreover, this will be the last major upgrade for the Galaxy S21 FE, as it was released with a four-year major upgrade policy in which the smartphone has already received three upgrades.

It was announced with One UI 4 based on Android 12 out of the box, and we are waiting for its last major upgrade, One UI 8. The Galaxy S21 FE is also eligible for the recently rumored One UI 8.5 upgrade. This Fan Edition will get security software updates till 2026.
