The Galaxy A56 5G is the first Samsung device to get the latest August 2025 security patches. The update starts rolling out today, which may take a few days to complete the full rollout. As of now the update is currently spotted in European markets.
Along with new patches to fix more than 45 bugs, the update also refreshed the device with general system improvements. However, as per the changelog, it does not include new functionalities or features.
The changelog shows the software update size is 369.61 MB, and the new firmware comes with build version A566BXXS6AYGE for the A56 5G.

The Galaxy A56 is one of the latest and premium A-series smartphones, which was released with One UI 7 a few months ago, and now it may get the One UI 8 upgrade as its first major upgrade soon.
Apart from this, the company ends software support for three Galaxy devices. As per the Samsung August 2025 Security Maintenance Release, the Galaxy A22, M32 4G, and F22 stop receiving new security patches from this month.
