OnePlus starts OxygenOS 16 CBT for the OnePlus 13R

OnePlus 13R

Yesterday OnePlus started the Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 Closed Beta Test program for the OnePlus 13R smartphones in India. This beta program allows users to experience the latest OS ahead of its official release.

As of now it has limited seats; only 300 users can participate in the program. The main purpose of these beta programs is to find and fix remaining bugs after the internal development of the software. This is not recommended for daily users; it is for developers, as the early betas come with many bugs, and lots of useful applications may not work properly, like banking service applications.

What’s new with the OxygenOS 16?

The upcoming new OS is expected to offer new customization tools, a redesigned settings menu, upgraded security and privacy, and more. The Androids Live Update feature is expected to be merged with OnePlus Live Activity for more usefulness.

According to rumors, the upgrade will bring much-awaited lock screen widgets like calendar, weather, and a few third-party app widgets. New lock screen clock styles are also one of the expected features with the OxygenOS 16.

If you want to test the latest OxygenOS 16 closed beta software, you should install it on your secondary device. To apply for this beta program, OnePlus 13R users can follow the steps given below.
