The One UI 8 Watch development has been completed, and the company has already rolled out its stable version for the Galaxy Watch7 globally. The Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic are also in the queue and expected to get One UI 8 Watch on October 28 or before.
To ensure the security of the Watch4 The Korean tech giant has released the August 2025 Android security patches to address various security vulnerabilities. The new firmware is spotted rolling out in the US. More specifically, the update is currently available on Verizon-locked Galaxy Watch4 models.
New build versions R865USQU1IYI1 and R875USQU1IYI1 bring the August 2025 update for Galaxy Watch4 (40mm) and Watch4 (44mm), respectively. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch4 Classic (42mm) and Watch4 Classic (46mm) are getting build versions R885USQU1IYI1 and R895USQU1IYI1, respectively.
This is just a security update, so you can’t expect new functionality integrations, but it includes system improvements. However, the feature-packed upgrade is just around the corner and will be available in the coming days.
Galaxy Watch5 models are also waiting for the One UI 8 Watch. As per the Canada Telus network schedule, Watch5 models should receive the major upgrade this week.
