The latest S series flagships received the One UI 8 stable update last month in the US. The October 2025 security update was already rolled out in Europe and Korea a few days ago. Now the latest security patches boost security of the Galaxy S25 in the US.

It is just simple monthly security, which is needed to fix more than 30 security vulnerabilities in the system. Also, the update includes general system improvements.
After the One UI 8, users are now waiting for the One UI 8.5 update, which is expected to add several new functions, including Network Battery Saver, Media Player animation, Gallery app improvements, a new sideload software option, and more.
However, the One UI 8.5 update will likely take a few months to arrive, as it will first launch with Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series, followed by an update for older models.
