Samsung has been working on its new Z series product, the Galaxy Z Tri Fold, for a long time, which could be announced by the end of this year. Samsung shows its Tri-Fold smartphone prototype at the ‘K-Tech Showcase’ in South Korea on October 28th. This was a side event of the APEC CEO Summit.
Several specifications of the Tri Fold have been leaked so far, such as its frame material and chipset, but there hasn’t been a first look at the device yet. After numerous rumored concepts, the first look of Samsung’s Tri Fold has finally surfaced.
It is clearly visible from these images that this foldable will have a dual-hinge mechanism and will fold twice. When unfolded, the device looks like a large tablet, while looking like a thick smartphone when folded.
During the event it was showcased under a protective glass shield, and Samsung does not allow visitors to touch the phone.
The device is rumored to feature the latest Snapdragon processor and a titanium frame. It is also expected to come with a big tri-battery system. However, there is nothing officially confirmed about the technical specification yet.
