Samsung has just completed the One UI 8 rollout for almost all of the smartphones, and the company is already started testing its next significant update, One UI 8.5, for the eligible devices. Before launching it fully, the company started testing it, and some of the features are already leaked. Let’s explore some of them as an upcoming changelog.
One UI 8.5 leaked features changelog
Visual updates: One UI 8.5 will bring more visual changes compared to the last major update, as it will provide new 3D icons for apps (via), a redesigned settings menu, and also place the search bar at the bottom for easier navigation. Along with this, the lock screen also gets some new clock styles and animations.

Privacy features: There is also a new Private Display feature (Via) arriving, which will limit the screen visibility from side angles. This will ensure that only users can see the content clearly and hide the content from the other people in public places.
Customizable Quick Panel: Last year, with One UI 7, Samsung introduced the customizable and more user-friendly Quick Panel for the Galaxy devices; now the company is taking it to a whole new level. Now with the One UI 8.5, users will be able to move widgets, toggles, or cards anywhere and also delete them.

Smart Manager is back with App Lock: Samsung has introduced the Smart Manager in previous One UI versions, but due to some reason the company has removed it and now it is making its debut again with One UI 8.5. It is coming with all the old features, including battery management and storage optimization, and also bringing a most awaited app lock feature.

Phone comes with direct voicemail: The Phone app comes with several new changes for the devices; it brings the redesigned keypad, Recent, and Contacts to the bottom of the app inside a pill. Along with these, there is also a new “Direct Voicemail” feature that is leaked; as per the description, it will assist the caller when you are unable to take the phone call. (Via)

One UI 8.5 will bring several major features, so it will be available with the Galaxy S26 series devices, which could replace the tradition of x.1 with the new flagship devices. This means user who are using other device should not get the update until the release of the next S series device, which indicates that it could be available till next year
