Following the flagships like the S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, Z Fold7, and Flip7, two midrange Galaxy devices start getting the latest security enhancements. The Galaxy A56 and A55 receive the December 2025 security update in Korea.
The brand is delivering the December 2025 maintenance update with software builds A566SKSS3BYL2 and A556SKSS6CYL1 for the Galaxy A56 and A55, respectively.
According to the given changelog, the update brings Google’s latest December 2025 Android security patches to address more than 60 vulnerabilities in Android devices. Along with enhanced security, the update also improves system stability.
The brand-new software is currently available for Korean users and expected to be available in other regions in a few days. When the update is available in your country, the notification will appear. If you turned off notifications, you can check it manually in System Settings’ Software Update menu.
Although before these two A series devices, the Galaxy A34 also received the same update in many regions, including Europe, Korea, and some other Asian countries.
Moreover, after the successful rollout of One UI 8, users are now waiting to experience the upcoming One UI 8.5 features. The Galaxy S25 series also received the One UI 8.5 beta program on Monday this week.
