Samsung recently announced the One UI 8.5 beta program for the S25 series smartphones. On the other hand, the brand continuously rolling out the monthly security patches and stable new One UI 8 Watch to its Galaxy devices.
One UI 8 Watch Features
Today the Korean tech giant released the latest major OS to the Galaxy Watch5 LTE and Watch5 Pro LTE in the US. The update brings significant changes to make your Galaxy Watch experience better.

The update allows users to create their own tiles and customize them. Improved visual experience in the dark with low light mode and more useful features; you can check below in the changelog.

The One UI 8 Watch is based on Google’s Wear OS 6 and Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro users can recognize the update with build versions R905USQU1DYK4 (40mm) / R915USQU1DYK4 (44mm) and R925USQU1DYK4 (45mm), respectively. The software update includes October 2025 security patches.

The update is already available in Korea, and now it has been released to Verizon-locked units in the US. However, other carriers are yet to receive it; as of publishing, it is only spotted on Verizon’s official page. Further, the update is currently not available on Bluetooth models too.
Additionally, both watches are also eligible for one more major upgrade, which will be released next year. Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch5 series in 2022 with One UI Watch 5.
