We are now in the mid December, Samsung has already started distributing the latest security patch for its several devices such as Galaxy A54, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 now it has started expanding it to more foldables.
Galaxy Z Fold5, Flip5, Fold4 and Flip4 gets December 2025 patch
Samsung has started rolling out the December 2025 security patch for its older foldables in South Korea. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are spotted getting it with the firmware version number F946NTBSFYL2 and F731NTBSFYL2 respectively.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 are getting the same update with the firmware version number F936NKSS6IYL1 and F721NKSS6IYL1 respectively.
According to the changelog, the latest update for the devices doesn’t bring any significant changes for the devices but it serve as a monthly maintenance software to enhance the security of the device.
All these foldables devices have already received the One UI 8, so they are also eligible to get the One UI 8.5, which will provide major changes and enhancements.
If you are residing in the South Korea, you should start getting new update notification on your device. Meanwhile, Samsung will expand the update outside the South Korean in the next few days. You can check the update manually by going to the software update Menu from the System Settings.
