The Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A34 are the first (non-One UI 8.5 beta) Samsung devices that are getting the January 2026 security update. Both headsets are receiving this new software in their home country, South Korea.

The January 2026 update is mainly focused on enhancing security by fixing more than 55 issues in Galaxy devices. The changelog reveals that both devices only received security patches, with no new features or functions. However, the update includes stability improvements.

The January 2026 software package comes with One UI build versions A556SKSS6CYL2 and A346NKSSCEYL2 for the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A34, respectively.

It will be rolled out to other regions soon. Users can check the software update availability by going to the Software Update option in the System Settings menu.

Moreover, these A series devices are also eligible for the One UI 8.5 update, but users have to wait a few months to experience it. Further now, the One UI 8.5 is only available for the Galaxy S25 units in the beta form in selected countries.

Lastly, the Korean tech giant firstly introduced this security update to the Galaxy S25 series with One UI 8.5 beta 3, which was only for the beta participants.
