Samsung secured 7 more Galaxy devices with the January 2026 update

Samsung started the January 2026 security update with two Galaxy A series smartphones, including the Galaxy A55 and A34. Today the latest monthly update is expanded to seven more Galaxy devices.

As of reporting, these seven devices—Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Z TriFold—are getting the first security update of 2026 in their home country, South Korea. You can see the new One UI build versions and software package sizes below.

As per the released changelog, the brand-new firmware only adds around 55 patches to address vulnerability in these Galaxy devices. No new functionality has been reported with the update so far.

If your devices have pending security updates to install, don’t ignore them, as they can protect your devices from several security flaws. Following Korea, the update will soon arrive in other regions.

Apart from these Galaxy S25 non-beta models, the One UI 8.5 beta 3 has already added the January 2026 security patches to the Galaxy S25 beta units in selected regions last week.
