Starting with the Galaxy A55 and A35, Samsung has so far secured around 18 of its Galaxy devices with the January 2025 security update. This latest software is mainly focused on security enhancements for its Galaxy devices.
As per the released January 2026 SMR, the Galaxy devices will get fixes for around 55 security issues. The complete package of this brand-new security update includes 21 patches from Google for the Android system, 4 patches from Samsung for its semiconductor issues, and 30 patches for its Galaxy devices specifically.

Note: The Galaxy devices listed here have received this update in at least one country or another. According to the Korean tech giant, the new update’s availability depends on several factors, such as network carriers, models, and regions. Therefore, it may take time for the update to reach all regions.
As of today only a couple of flagships have received the first security update of this year. Hope the brand will soon secure the remaining eligible headsets.
