Galaxy A23 and S24 FE join the January 2026 update party in the US

Following more than 20 Galaxy devices, the software is now expanding quickly to the remaining handsets in the US. Now the January 2026 security enhancements are available to download for the Galaxy A23 5G and Galaxy S24 FE in the US.

As of publishing, the update has been spotted on the carrier-locked units of both of these smartphones. Unlocked users of both smartphones may have to wait a couple of days to get the update.

Galaxy A23 5G owners can identify the update with build version A236VSQSBEYL2 on Verizon-locked units and A236USQSDEZA1 on other carriers like T-Mobile and MetroPCS.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 FE users are receiving the update with One UI build version S721USQS9CZA2 on all carrier-locked models.

This is a monthly maintenance update, which is mainly focused on security improvements along with stability improvements in some scenarios. It integrates more than 55 patches to fix several issues in Galaxy devices.

Along with smartphones and foldables, the Korean tech giant is also releasing the latest security patches to Galaxy Watches. Recently the Galaxy Watch5 series has received the January 2026 update in the US and Europe.
