New beta firmware of the One UI 8.5 is rolled out in all eligible beta countries. The Galaxy S26 series launch is just a few days away, and the brand released One UI 8.5 beta 5 for the Galaxy S25 series.
The first beta software is distributed with build version ZZAN, and the OTA download file size is approx. 550 MB for all three models of the S25 series. However, the update is mainly focused on fixes and stability improvements.
The Beta 5 introduced more bug fixes and optimizations to ensure stable performance in every scenario ahead of the stable version. The February 2026 security patch was already integrated with One UI 8.5 beta 4.
Samsung fans are eagerly waiting to experience the stable One UI 8.5 software on older Galaxy devices. But users may have to wait a couple of weeks, as the stable update will only be released after the launch of the Galaxy S26 lineup.
However, the Korean giant has already confirmed the launch of the Galaxy S26 series. All models of the series will come with One UI 8.5 out of the box. These new flagships are arriving on February 25, and following the launch, the brand may start the stable One UI 8.5 rollout for the older Galaxy devices in the coming days.
