The One UI 8.5 beta 6 was already distributed in Korea, Europe, India, and Germany yesterday. Now the Korean tech giant started rolling it out in the US as well.
The brand is working hard to make One UI 8.5 stable for older Galaxy devices, as Google has already started its Android 17 developer beta program, and Samsung will also aim to provide the One UI 9 beta program on time to its users.
As of now the Galaxy S25 units are getting the One UI 8.5 beta 6 update in the US, and the software is dropped with build version ZZAO. Users are getting the firmware in a download package of around 550 MB.

This new beta update brings fresh bug fixes that you can check in the changelog below. It also contains stability improvements; however, the changelog does not mention any new functionality.
One UI 8.5 Beta 6 changelog
- Fixed an issue with the Bixby > Labs > Create wake-up phrase feature
- Fixed an issue where two “View Previous Image” buttons appeared when using the sketch conversion feature in the Gallery
- Fixed issues with the text, icons, and AOD visibility of Now Bar/Now Brief recommendation cards
- Fixed a forced close issue when changing the camera area settings in Settings > Display

Moreover, Samsung has already launched the Galaxy S26 series with One UI 8.5 out of the box globally. Also, a couple of One UI 8.5 features are limited to the S26 Ultra, like the Privacy Display.
