Galaxy A56 gets the April 2026 update in Europe

After updating the Galaxy A56 in Korea, the brand begins the April 2026 security update rollout in European regions. Galaxy A56 users started receiving the latest security update availability notifications. If your notifications are off, go to Settings » Software Update » Download and Install.

The brand new One UI maintenance update for the Galaxy A56 is rolling out with firmware version A566BXXSABZD1. This April OTA update comes in a download package of around 380MB.

The software will refresh your device by improving stability and fixing security vulnerabilities. As per the security maintenance release, the April 2026 update carries around 47 patches to fix security issues in the Galaxy devices.

This is a monthly maintenance update that is important to install to avoid security threats. The update is currently only available to download in Europe and Korea. It is expected to arrive in other Asian countries and the US in the coming days.

Notably, Samsung also started the One UI 8.5 beta program for the smartphone a few days ago, and the beta-running units have already received the April 2026 update. Reportedly, the One UI 8.5 stable version might arrive next week for the Galaxy S25 series; however, for the Galaxy A56, it may take a few more weeks for the stable version.
