Until only the Galaxy A34 received the December 2025 Android security patches, and today the brand expanded the update to the Galaxy S25 series, Fold7 and Flip7 units in Korea.
Surprisingly, the One UI 8 beta program was expected to arrive today, but with the arrival of this maintenance update, it seems we may have to wait a few more days for the 8.5 beta program.
Galaxy S25 series, Fold7, and Flip7 December 2025 update
The Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra units are receiving the December maintenance update with build versions S931NKSS7BYKG, S936NKSS7BYKG, and S938NKSS7BYKG, respectively. Software update sizes for the S25 series are around 579 MB for each model.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 also received the same update with build versions F966NKSS6AYKE and F766NKSS6AYKE. Both foldable users have to download approx. 586 MB of software packages.
As mentioned in the changelog, the December 2025 OTA software carries only new security patches and improves system stability in certain scenarios. The update does not include any new features.
However, all of these Galaxy devices could receive a feature-packed One UI 8.5 in the form of a beta program in a few days. One UI 8.5 will be another big update, which will also add several new features, improvements, optimizations, and fixes as per the leaked changelog.
