Samsung has a wide range of Galaxy devices, in which a couple of devices have already received the December 2025 security patches, including some flagships and midrange devices.
Following around 8 Galaxy products, Samsung started pushing the December 2025 update to the Galaxy S21 FE. As of writing, the update is spotted on the Exynos variant of the S21 FE in some Asian countries, including Vietnam and Thailand.
This brand-new software is being distributed with One UI version G990EXXSKHYK5 for the Galaxy S21 FE. Samsung will also expand the update in other regions in coming days.
As the devices received One UI 8, it is expected that they will get the One UI 8.5 features too. However, Android 16 was its last OS upgrade, and now the fan edition is only eligible for the maintenance updates.
More Galaxy devices are expected to get the December 2025 maintenance update this week, as many flagships are yet to receive the latest security enhancements.
Apart from the security patches, the Korean tech giant is also working to provide a big software update to its devices. The brand recently released the One UI 8.5 beta program for the S25 series and the stable One UI 8 Watch for its Galaxy Watch5 series.
