Samsung speeds up the December update rollout for its Galaxy products. Today the Galaxy S24 series joins the December 2025 update list, at least in Korea.
Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra users can identify this most recent security update with build versions S921NKSSBCYL1, S926NKSSBCYL1, and S928NKSSBCYL1, respectively. Each model received it in an OTA package of around 347.98 MB.

As mentioned in the changelog, the new firmware is only enhancing the security of the devices by integrating more than 60 Android security patches into the system, along with some general stability improvements.
It does not add any new features, but Galaxy S24 users will get a feature-loaded software, the One UI 8.5, soon in the coming months.
Although Galaxy S24 users are expecting the One UI 8.5 beta program, it seems these flagships will directly get the stable One UI 8.5 update. Well, we can’t rule out beta program availability for these devices; the Korean tech giant may release the One UI 8.5 beta program for the S24 in the coming weeks.
The successor of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series has already received the same update in Korea a few days ago. Moreover, the Galaxy S25 series has also received the One UI 8.5 beta program, and users loved the new software, as per reviews.
