Samsung started the December update rollout for the Galaxy S22 and S23 with some Asian units last week, but now it has reached Europe as well.
The update is mainly focused on enhancing the security of all of these S22 and S23 series devices. This fresh update adds December 2025 Android security patches to address more than 57 vulnerabilities in Galaxy devices.
The brand-new update comes with a new build version for these smartphones. These bills are mentioned below.
- Galaxy S22: S901BXXSKGYL3
- Galaxy S22+: S906BXXSKGYL3
- Galaxy S22 Ultra: S908BXXSKGYL3
- Galaxy S23: S911BXXS8EYK5
- Galaxy S23+: S916BXXS8EYK5
- Galaxy S23 Ultra: S918BXXS8EYK5
Along with security enhancements, it also contains system stability improvements in certain scenarios. However, there are no new features coming with this new maintenance update.
Moreover, all of these units are running on One UI 8 based on Android 16 OS and waiting to taste more new functions with One UI 8.5.
However, only Galaxy S25 series models have received the One UI 8.5 beta update, and the stable version will be released after the Galaxy S26 launch. So all Galaxy owners have to wait a few months for the next feature-included software.
