Tecno has just released a new software update to Camon 40 Pro 5G. This fresh update introduced the January 2026 Android security patches to enhance the overall security of the device.
Notably, there is still one day left for 2026 to begin, and the brand started distributing the latest security patches ahead of many smartphone giants, such as Google and Samsung.
The update is dropped with new software version CM7-15.1.2.145SP01 (OP001PF001AZ), and the update size is 441 MB. The firmware is available to download globally.
Alongside the security, it also optimizes performance and system stability of the device. However, the changelog does not include any new function availability with the software. Further, to keep any Android device protected from security threats, owners should install the latest security patches.
Apart from OnePlus and Realme, brands are yet to release the December 2025 security update to many devices. Meanwhile, Samsung is almost complete with the December 2025 update rollout and now will aim to release the January 2026 security patches soon.
