Samsung is rolling out the January 2026 update to Verizon-locked units of the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, Flip7, Fold6, and Flip6 in the US.
The update enhances the security of these devices by integrating more than 55 security patches. These patches include fixes for 21 Android system issues, 4 Samsung semiconductor issues, and 30 Galaxy device-specific issues.
All of these handsets have already received the same update in Asian and European regions. Now the first security update of 2026 is available to download in the US too. Users can check the latest One UI build version.

This is a monthly security update, which may also contain some stability improvements for Galaxy devices in certain scenarios. However, this brand-new firmware does not include new features, but still, to enhance device security, you should install new available security patches as soon as possible.
These Samsung devices are also waiting to release the Galaxy S26 series, as the One UI 8.5 stable version will only be possible to release after the upcoming S series flagships.
