Realme has already started the Realme UI 8 developer beta program for the Realme GT8 Pro users. Early this month, the brand released the third developer beta update to the Realme GT8 Pro.
According to the recent reports, the Realme UI 8 is all set to introduce new lock screen features, including the highly awaited Lock Screen Island, similar to Samsung’s Now Bar. Samsung was the first to release the Now Bar features with One UI 7 last year, and now the other brand has started offering similar features.
Realme UI 8 Lock Screen Island
The features offer a new way to manage media controls, delivery updates, navigation, various supported app activities, and more. Users can also expand the details by swiping up the lock screen. The Lock Screen Island allows users to stack multiple apps, whereas the Samsung Now Bar is only limited to one.
This is one of the major features users were expecting with the Realme UI 8. The Lock Screen Island is a pill-shaped bar that you can see at the bottom of your lock screen.
Yet the Chinese brand does not officialize its public beta program timeline for the older Realme devices. However, the brand will soon start the Android 17-based Realme UI 8 public beta programs for the eligible devices.
