Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 FE last month, and following a few days of launch, the phone received a maintenance update but with the last month’s security patch. However, the brand has now released the September 2026 security update for the Galaxy S26 FE globally.
In the US, the software update is rolling out with build version S741USQS2AZI3 and S741U1UES2AZI3 for carrier-locked and unlocked modes, respectively. On the other hand, European and Asian units are getting the same software update with the One UI build version S741BXXS2AZI3.
Notably, the update does not bring any new functionalities as per the changelog. However, users can expect improvements and system stability improvement fixes.
Galaxy S26 FE key specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE shipped with Android 17-based One UI 9 out of the box and is eligible for 7 years of OS and security software updates. The handset comes with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. It features Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 chipset.
The phone is equipped with a 4900 mAh Li-Ion battery and supports 45W fast wired charging. In the optics it offers a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main lens, an 8MP telephoto, and a 12MP ultrawide. On the front it has a 12MP selfie shooter.
