Good news for the Galaxy A56 Enterprise Edition: it will get 7 OS upgrades

Samsung announced the Galaxy A56 early this year with Android 15-based One UI 7. The device has also received its first major upgrade in the form of One UI 8 in many regions.

The Galaxy A56 5G was launched with a policy of providing 6 years of operating system updates and 6 years of security updates. But the Enterprise Edition of the Galaxy A56 comes with one more year of software support.

As mentioned on Samsung’s Knox platform, the Galaxy A56 Enterprise Edition is eligible for 7 OS upgrades, meaning the device will get up to Android 22. Aside from the major update, it will also get 7 years of security support as well.

Notably, Samsung provides 7 years of support for its flagship devices like the Galaxy S series and Foldables and 6 years of support for its premium A series smartphones, but the Enterprise Edition offers one additional year of support for the Galaxy A56.

Moreover, the Galaxy A56 comes with the Exynos 1580 chipset and has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone offers a decent triple camera setup on the backside. It carries a 5000 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging support.
