Galaxy A33 5G started getting its last major upgrade in the form of Android 16-based One UI 8. The One UI 8 was a highly awaited software update for the users, as it brings significant changes over its predecessor, One UI 7.
As of writing, the Galaxy A33 is receiving the update in the European region with build version A336BXXUEGYI8. Users are getting the OTA update in a file size of around 2.5 GB. For the remaining regions, the update will be available in the coming weeks as well.
For the Galaxy A33, the One UI 8 adds several personalization options for wallpapers and lock screens, including the Adaptive lock screen clock. It also brings a flexible split screen to improve productivity.
The brand-new update also includes September 2025 Android security patches. To check the update, navigate to Settings » Software Update » Download and Install.
Apart from the One UI 8, the device should get the One UI 8.5 update as another big update. The One UI 8.5 will be a bonus update for the Galaxy A33 5G; after that, the device will only be eligible for security patches till 2027.
