Samsung released the much-awaited One UI 8 Watch beta program for the Galaxy Watch5 units. The beta program was first announced for the Galaxy Watch7 series, and later the Watch6 series, in which the Watch7 has also received the stable version.
While the Galaxy Watch6 is still waiting for the stable version, the Galaxy Watch5 joins the beta program of the One UI 8 Watch. The beta update availability for the Watch5 series is currently spotted in Korea.
The changelog of the update is currently not known, so the exact features of Google’s Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch are under the hood. However, we can expect most of the features that the Galaxy Watch6 devices received to be available for the Watch5 as well.
Galaxy Watch5 Users living in Korea can enroll and test the latest beta program by navigating to Watch settings > Watch software update. Keep in mind this is a beta program, which may have some critical bugs and issues, so don’t forget to back up your data.
Users can also wait a few months to get the stable version directly if they don’t want a buggy software experience.
