iQOO is making a big leap towards its software update policy starting with iQOO 15. The iQOO 15 is the upcoming flagship smartphone of the brand, which will be eligible for 5 OS upgrades and up to 7 years of security software support.
Earlier the company only offered 3 OS upgrades to its flagship; however, recently iQOO extended its iQOO 12 policy to 4 OS and 5 years of maintenance updates. iQOO 12 was announced with only 3 Android and 4 years of security support.
How many software updates will iQOO 15 get?
Further, the software update policy is mentioned on promotion poster of the iQOO 15. As the iQOO 15 is coming with Android 16-based OriginOS 6, and iQOO is committed to offering 5 OS upgrades, the device will get up to Android 20-based OriginOS 10. On the other hand, the device will get maintenance software updates till 2032.

The iQOO 15 will be officially launched on November 26, 2025. As of writing, we only know a few details about the specifications of this upcoming flagship. iQOO 15 is set to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a huge battery of 7000 mAh.
In our opinion, the 7 years of software support is great for any users who love to use devices for a long time. Moreover, last year its predecessor, the vivo iQOO 13, was released with 4 Android upgrades and 5 years of security support.
