Samsung has now started giving the taste of One UI 8 to the remaining old Galaxy devices. Today the One UI 8 has arrived for the Galaxy Tab A9 Wi-Fi model. The highly awaited major software is currently rolling out to the Korean units of the Galaxy Tab A9.

The One UI 8 is being rolled out to the Galaxy Tab A9 (Wi-Fi) with build version X110XXU6DYK3. The major software has an update file size of 2.6 GB. The Galaxy Tab A9+ and cellular variants of the Galaxy Tab A9 have yet to receive the update.

The update also integrates last month’s October 2025 Android security patches to the tablet. The One UI 8 is coming with significant changes over the One UI 7 for the Tab A9; it brings more productivity functions, improved animations in some scenarios, an enhanced visual experience, improved security, and more.

Notably, the Galaxy Tab A9 devices received two major updates in the same year in the form of One UI 7 and One UI 8 in May and November, respectively.

Moreover, the tablet was launched with Android 13-based One UI 5.1 in 2023, and now it has completed its OS upgrade cycle with the Android 16-based One UI 8 update. Now the tablet is only eligible for One UI 8.5 and the security updates.
