One UI 8.5 will be the major shift in the Samsung software strategy. The company is all set to make changes to its midcycle software upgrade which is usually x.1 to x.5.
However, the X.5 isn’t surprising to the old Samsung users as the Korean giant has already used the same version naming in the initial stages of One UI such as 1.5 and One UI 2.5.

What’s new coming with One UI 8.5?
As of now, Samsung hasn’t spoken about the One UI 8.5. But based on some rumors and internal testing software the next One UI version will be focused to enhance the user experience by enhancing the customizability of different elements to next level this includes quick panel.
Samsung is also working to upgrade the Samsung internet browser for the Galaxy S26 lineup and bring some new feature for the Now Brief. Apart from these, the update will also enhance the overall visual of the software.
