The Korean tech giant removed the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Flip3 devices from software support almost 3 months ago. Now both devices are again added to the eligible maintenance update device list under Quarterly Security Updates.
Recently, the company surprisingly released the latest November 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3, while both devices were removed from software support three months ago.
However, Samsung has not detailed any information as to how many more months these devices will get updates. But the listing suggests that these foldables from 2021 will get more updates in the coming months.
Samsung has often provided maintenance updates to its devices even after software support has ended. Samsung’s intensity with its devices demonstrates how much the Korean tech giant cares about its Galaxy devices.
Now these days Samsung makes its software update policy the best in the Android smartphone market. When the Fold3 and Flip3 launched, Samsung promised four major upgrades and five years of security patches for its foldables.
Now the company has significantly expanded its software update policy. For the recently launched Fold7 and Flip7, Samsung has promised 7 OS updates and 7 years of maintenance updates.
