Samsung has expanded its Galaxy Z lineup with its first triple foldable device. Samsung just announced the Galaxy Z TriFold in Korean markets today.

Galaxy Z TriFold will get 7 OS and 7 years of security support
As per the official specifications listing, the brand is set to offer 7 Android/One UI upgrades and 7 years of maintenance software support to the TriFold. Samsung has been providing the same software update policy for foldable devices since 2023.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is launched with Android 16-based One UI 8, so the device will get a major upgrade up to Android 23. On the flip side, it will get maintenance updates up to December 31, 2032, as mentioned on the official specs listing.
Apart from the foldables, the company is also giving the seven years of software support treatment to the Galaxy S series since the Galaxy S24 in 2024. Now the update policy becomes a standard for Samsung premium and flagship Galaxy devices.
