Realme GT 8 Pro gets a massive April 2026 update with new AI functions

Realme starts the April 2026 security update rollout with the Realme GT 8 Pro. This new firmware not only brings April 2026 security patches but also integrates new functionalities to this Realme flagship smartphone.

The Realme GT8 Pro owners can identify the April 2026 update with build version 16.0.5.701, and the software is dropped in a package size of around 9GB. The brand new software is available in India and expected to reach other regions as well.

The update carries some new functionalities, including AI Gaming Coach support for a floating crosshair for quick aiming. The update also improves system performance in some scenarios.

Realme GT 8 Pro April Update

In India the Realme GT8 Pro was launched in November 2025 with security maintenance software support up to 2032. The device is also eligible for 4 OS upgrades, and its first major update is already available in the form of the Android 17 beta program. However, the stable version rollout of the Realme UI 8 will take a few months to be available for the device.

The Realme GT 8 Pro is Realme’s flagship device that comes with a 6.79-inch AMOLED display and supports a 144 Hz refresh rate. It is powered with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and runs on Android 16-based Realme UI 7.
