The latest May 2026 Android security patches are now available to download for the Galaxy S26 in the US. Last time the S26 units received the second April 2026 update earlier this month.
The brand-new monthly maintenance update arrives with build versions S942USQS2AZE1, S947USQS2AZE1, and S948USQS2AZE1 for the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, respectively. As of writing, it is rolling out to Galaxy S26 carrier-locked units, and unlocked models may get the same update in the coming days.
We have spotted the firmware on Verizon and AT&T network-locked units. Other carriers will also receive the software soon.
According to the changelog, the May 2026 update is mainly focused on security improvements and improving system performance. However, it does not carry new features but is still important to install to fix security vulnerabilities.
Aside from the May 2026 security patches, the Korean tech giant is also busy rolling out One UI 8.5 software and the One UI 9 beta program.
