Samsung pushed July 2026 security patches to the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 7

Samsung has started rolling out the July 2026 security patches for their Galaxy Watches. As of publishing, the Galaxy Watch 8 series and Watch 7 series models have received these latest security updates.

Currently the update is available to download in Asia, Europe, and some South American countries. Notably, it is spotted on Bluetooth models only, and the cellular variant will get the update in the coming days. The software comes in an OTA package of around 170 MB. Check the latest July update One UI versions below.

  • Galaxy Watch8 Classic: L500XXS2AZF4

This month the brand started the latest security maintenance update rollout with Galaxy Watches instead of flagship smartphones.

The Galaxy watches receive quarterly security updates as per the Samsung SMR. Aside from the Watch 8 and 7, remaining eligible watches will also start getting this brand-new software soon.

How to download

To check the software update availability manually, navigate to your Galaxy Watch App drawer » Settings » Software update » Tap Download and install.
