Samsung started the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series a couple of days ago, and the beta units have already received the April 2026 security update. But today the brand rolls out the April 2026 security patches to non-beta participants as well.
Galaxy S24 carrier-locked units are getting the latest security patches in the US, specifically spotted on the Verizon-locked units. The April 2026 update is dropped with One UI build versions S921USQS5CZD2, S926USQS5CZD2, S928USQS5CZD2, and S721USQSBCZD1 for the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE, in that order.
The update is carrying fixes for over 45 security issues and also improves system stability for the handsets. Notably, it does not add new features, but users don’t need to worry, as the One UI 8.5 update is on its way, carrying many new functionalities for the Galaxy S24 series.
As of today the company has updated its dozens of Galaxy devices with the April 2026 security update. This is a monthly maintenance update which refreshes your devices and improves their security.
Aside from this, One UI 8.5-eligible Samsung Galaxy owners are aggressively waiting for this feature-packed update. One UI 8.5 stable update should release soon for the Galaxy devices, as One UI 9 is also in the queue, and users don’t want to wait like they did for One UI 7.
