As we predicted last month, the Korean tech giant has officially started the One UI 9 beta program for the Galaxy S26 units, including the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.
The update is currently spotted in Korea, Germany, the UK, and the US and will be expanded to other beta-eligible countries soon. To participate in the beta program, users will firstly need to apply for the beta via the Samsung Members app. Users in India and Poland will get the beta update in the second wave from May 26.
In Europe, Following successful applications, users are getting the One UI 9 Beta 1 OTA update with build versions S942BXXU2ZZEF, S947BXXU2ZZEF, and S948BXXU2ZZEF for the S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, respectively. The beta software is coming in a download file size of a massive 3.6GB.
The latest software includes all the new features, personalization options, new functionalities in the system apps, an upgraded Quick Panel, enhanced accessibility, improved security features, and more.
Further, the brand new upgrade also introduced new security patches in May 2026 to fix various security vulnerabilities.
