Google has already rolled out the stable Android 17 software for its Pixel devices, and many other Android smartphone brands have also started the beta program for their devices, including Samsung.
As of writing, Samsung started the Android 17-based One UI 9 beta program for only the latest Galaxy S26 series models, including the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra. Notably, the One UI 9 beta is only available in selected regions.
The One UI 9 beta 1 was released in May 2026, and until now the S26 users have received 3 beta updates. With every beta update, the One UI 9 is moving towards stability. When the Korean tech giant completes the One UI 9 development to a fully stable version, it will be released for all eligible devices.
