Following the European and Asian regions, the Galaxy A53 starts receiving the July 2026 security update in the US as well. Samsung begins the July 2026 update rollout for the network-locked Galaxy A53 units in the US.
Carrier-locked Galaxy A53 users can identify the July 2026 update with build version A536VSQSOGZG3, and the update is available on Verizon, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, and other networks. Notably, the update is currently not released for the unlocked units, which may arrive in the coming days.
The July 2026 security update fixes more than 57 security issues and boosts system performance in some scenarios. The update does not include anything new in terms of features or functions. But it is recommended to install the latest security patches as soon as they are available to avoid security threats.
Further, the Korean tech giant has also recently released the August 2026 update SMR and removed two older Galaxy devices from software support. Nonetheless, the Galaxy A53 5G is still eligible for security updates till 2027.
